About cookies and their automatic reduction or avoidance:

The free extensions “I don't care about cookies”, “uBlock Origin” and “Decentraleyes” can be used to block cookies, advertising and trackers in the Windows browsers Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Opera. Vivaldi and Brave even have some of these extensions built in. Apple Safari also already contains some ad blockers. Unfortunately, I cannot yet automatically deactivate cookies on this website, but this is being planned.

Eisenstadt City Council, for example, has a completely cookie-free website. I'll get around to that one day.

 

If you install the above extensions or a suitable browser, nobody will be able to track you with any annoying spam tools for advertising and data theft in the future.

The information on the browsers is not complete, new ones are constantly being added, e.g. DuckDuckGo. Under OpenSUSE Linux (KDE) I have found the most browsers for this operating system.

Some browsers come with a free built-in VPN. This can sometimes be useful. VPNs and "Tor" browsers should be used with caution, as they open the door to data spying. VPNs should only be used from trusted providers.
